POSITION OVERVIEW:
DEFTEC Corporation is seeking a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, (CBRN) Journeyman Scientist to define and resolve system issues, perform analysis, and develop plans and requirements for further analysis.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operational scientific and technical analysis
Defining and resolving system issues, performing analysis, and developing plans and requirements for further analysis
Coordinates and manages the preparation of analysis, evaluations, and recommendations
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience
B.A./B.S. or M.A./M.S. in a scientific, engineering, medical, veterinary, or public health field
3-10 years' experience in a scientific, engineering, medical, veterinary, or public health field
Experience supporting major programs or system development efforts related to human, animal, or plant health and medical consequences of CBRN events or a combination of experience in these areas and the Department Homeland Security pillars of prevention, protection, response, or recovery
Other Requirements
Active / currentDoD Secret or higher security clearance is required; must have or be able to obtain TS/SCI
Position is contingent upon contract award

About DEFTEC
DEFTEC Corporation was founded in December 2012 by Ms. Barbara Reeder, the company's founder and CEO. In 2006, Barbara was called upon to support training for the Army's deployment of C-IED threat systems. DEFTEC's passion and exceptional diligence supporting our Warfighters in the C-IED fight was codified by receiving a note from General George Casey, Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) Commanding General, stating this work was the contributing factor for a 37% significant reduction of the Killed in Action (KIA) in theater.
