Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Test Engineer supporting the Nuclear Weapons Acquisition Division, AFLCMC/NDB, which is part of the AF Nuclear Weapons Center. This Division has responsibility for developing, testing and producing systems and components related to nuclear strategic weapon systems for our nation's warfighters including the B61-12 Tail-kit Assembly and the Long-Range Standoff (LRSO) Missile.

Job Responsibilities:

Duties included, but not limited to:

Apply expertise in the field of test engineering and extensive knowledge of the assigned functional area to assist in resolving unique or novel problems related to design and development engineering including having knowledge of: the principles of test engineering, planning and program management; standard acquisition regulations, practices, and procedures; and other engineering disciplines used in weapon system acquisition programs.
Provides test support during the planning, execution, and reporting phases of the program. This support includes, but is not limited to, reviewing test plans, data management, and identification of test support equipment requirements, coordination with test support agencies and ranges, and other test and evaluation tasks.
Coordination with the Air Force SEEK EAGLE office to obtain test asset flight clearances and Arnold Engineering Development Complex for wind tunnel testing.
Identify/assess test risks and develop mitigation plans; ensure test resources are provided to the customer when required to support program test events.
Participate in the development of test plans, test cards, test review board briefs, development of instrumentation/data requirements, and control room real-time data display screens. Communicate and coordinate efforts across test planning, execution, and analysis activities.
Provide test execution support including control room operations (including monitoring data screens), test mission pre/post briefs, radio/intercom and specific mission execution support as required.
Support, assist and advise Working Groups, Planning Teams, and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) by preparing and reviewing agendas, coordinating topics and speakers, as well as the researching, tracking and closure of action items.
Review engineering documents/briefings and provide comments/suggestions, and follow up as required to ensure accurate and complete documentation.

Minimum Qualifications:

AA/AS + 20 years of relevant experience or BS + 15 years of relevant experience or MS + 10 years relevant experience
5 years of Developmental Testing and Operational Testing, United States Air Force flight test experience
Secret Security Clearance
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Ability to work varied/flexible hours
Must be willing/able to travel as required (approx. 25%) and able to rent/operate a rental car
US Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior US Air Force weapon-aircraft testing experience (fighter-bombers)
MS in Engineering (ABET-accredited) + 15 years of relevant experience or Ph.D. + 5-25 years of relevant experience
