Job Title: Sr. Acquisition Program Engineer (APE SR)

Job Location: Fort Walton Beach, FL (Eglin AFB)

Division:Armament Systems Development Division (AFLCMC/EBZ)

Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Analystto provide acquisition program engineering expertise including statistical analysis to the Armament Systems Development Division (EBZ) in support of weapons system capability development.

Job Responsibilities:

Duties include but are not limited to:

Provides acquisition program engineering expertise including statistical analysis to the Armament Systems Development Division in support of weapons system capability development
Supports the division, branch, and project team meetings on weapons capability development
Supports weapons capability development initiatives, weapon support to aircraft initiatives, Program Executive Officer and Air Force level roadmap
Supports periodic engagements with the research lab on directed energy science and technology, andkinetic weapons science and technology
Addresses impacts of policies on capability development guidance on the weapons enterprise
Communicate/interface with prime contractors, sub-system suppliers, and any other Government stakeholders to meet program objectives
Conducts early systems engineering activities including acquisition risk assessment, requirements development schedule development/oversight, action item development/oversight, etc.

Qualifications:

BS and MS Engineering (ABET-accredited) and 15+ years relevant experience; or Ph.D. and 5+ years of relevant experience


Top Secret clearance


Comprehensive understanding of the organizational mission and interfaces with intelligence, Major Commands, Air Staff, DoD laboratories, and support agencies
Experience with the following preferred: DoD weapons systems acquisition; Analysis of Alternatives; capability gap analysis; requirements development and verification support
Expert knowledge and experience in statistical analysis, design of experiments, test and evaluation, operations research, management science, and modeling and simulation desired
Experience in the application of design of experiments to the complex ground and airborne weapon systems Test & Evaluation desired
Must be able to travel as needed (
Must be able to work varied/flexible hours as needed
Effective communication and presentation skills both orally and in writing; able to negotiate and deal with customers and to advise management using a high degree of tact and diplomacy
