The candidate should have previous experience in detailed analysis of submarine structures utilizing both Classical and Finite Element methods of analysis. Additionally, the candidate should have previous experience in the methodologies to restrain and analyze outfitting items. The candidate should have specific knowledge of the design of SSN 688 Class, SEAWOLF and VCS submarines and an understanding of how the technical requirements vary between the different classes of ships. Related engineering section responsibilities include coordinating, assigning and checking work, training and developing engineers, conducting performance reviews and maintain a professional atmosphere within the engineering section. The ability to simultaneously review, track, guide and approve multiple tasks is critical to position success
Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited school of engineering and 6 years of progressive technical experience in research, engineering, and design or equivalent. A Master's of Science degree in Engineering and professional registration with 4 years of relevant experience are preferred.
M.S. degree is preferred.
