Candidate works to extreme details under direct surveillance of company and customer representatives. Job requires individual and team participation on varied shift schedules and overtime working on ships and in shop areas. Applicant must pass qualifications including health exams, classroom, practical examinations, on- the job and complicated refueling training . Job involves exposure to radiation, accessing heights and confined spaces, Candidate must be capable of obtaining a security clearance.
Candidates should be able to lift at least 40 lbs. Candidates must be able to successfully complete radiation and mobile equipment operator physicals. Candidate must be able to successfully complete radiological training. Must be able to work assigned shift as production needs. The candidate must be able to understand written instructions and strong math skills are essential. This is a construction environment involving extreme heights, confined spaces, physical labor and various weather conditions within a shipyard environment. Must be able to work assigned shift as production needs. Entry level candidates must pass Work keys testing requirements.
Mechanical background preferred, confidential or higher security clearance preferred.High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Successful completion of a technical/vocational program in Machining, Diesel Technology, Automotive, HVAC, Mechanical.
