LMI is seeking a Project Manager (PM) to lead and grow our NASA account portfolio. NASA is a long-standing, priority customer for LMI and we are seeking a highly-motivated and experienced leader to help NASA successfully face its toughest challenges and take advantage of the tremendous opportunities in today's rapidly evolving federal environment. The NASA leader will manage a diverse portfolio of projects - covering a broad set of functional capabilities such as data analytics, program management, logistics, climate risk and digital transformation. The PM will manage key performance indicators such as customer satisfaction, revenue and growth. The NASA PM drives innovation into the delivery of each project and actively engages with customers to identify opportunities for organic growth. This position plays a key role in managing LMI's relationship with NASA customers, requiring frequent face-to-face meetings with NASA customers located in the Washington, DC metro area as well as travel to NASA centers.

The NASA PM position responsibilities entail the full spectrum of managing and growing the NASA account portfolio, to include:
Set the strategic direction for the NASA account - to include account goals and key performance metrics Lead, mentor and develop LMI project teams supporting NASA Build and maintain partnership relationships with NASA customer leadership Partner with LMI business development team to achieve growth goals Manage financials for a portfolio of NASA projects, ensuring account financial targets are met Work with LMI support functions (such as Contracts, Legal, Accounting, and Human Resources) to ensure project delivery runs smoothly and complies with legal and contractual requirements Hire and develop project team members to meet customer requirements, partnering and coordinating with LMI Service Line leads and authoring/posting requisitions Serve as the capture manager for contract recompetes Manage subcontractor and business partnerships Conduct performance reviews with project team members
Bachelor's Degree 7+ years' experience working with federal government programs (time in Master's Degree program may be substituted) Previous experience working with Federal Civilian agenciesDemonstrated ability to lead teamsDemonstrated ability to build relationships with government customers Strong organization skills, demonstrated ability to effectively balance competing priorities Excellent written and oral communication skills (including proposal writing), make quick transitions to adjust messaging to widely varied groups Ability to pass a government background investigation Ability to travel frequently to NASA HQ and to partner locations in the DC metro areaDesired qualifications:
PMP or similar project management certification History of performance at NASA Existing base of NASA client relationships High level of business acumen, ability to develop and implement strategy Creative problem solver - solutions oriented Strong financial acumen Motivated by exceeding performance targets Connector - make insightful connections to bring the right people together Desire to learn and take on new challenges
