Intelsat's Associate Rotational Program is a highly competitive two year program that provides recent graduates the opportunity to develop their technical skills in the communications industry at the forefront of satellite innovation. As an Associate, you will transition every 8 months, over a two-year period, to experience the day-to-day responsibilities of different career paths as you collaborate with three different teams to achieve their goals.

Intelsat's Associate Rotational Program: Epic 2.0 Track
In the Epic 2.0 Track, utilizing your education and skills you will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact working with the RF Architecture, Network Architecture and Service Delivery teams. Upon successful completion of the 24 month program, you will be promoted and placed into a role that will align with and build upon your experience.

Program Benefits:

You should definitely have:
A 4 year degree in engineering, computer science, or other related subject Scripting capabilities in Python and MATLAB, HTML and Java Script Knowledge of RF transmission communications and engineering Knowledge of routing and switching technologies Knowledge of protocol standards for network communications Knowledge of 'Design Thinking' process and User Experience (UX) concept Experience with creating prototypes and testing processes and tools Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing Proficiency with computer applications including MS Office including Visio
It would be nice if you have:
A Master's degree in engineering, computer science, or other related subject Knowledge of Satellite based network services Knowledge of data center and cloud architecture Knowledge of data analytics and A/B testing methods for process design Previous leadership experience in extracurricular activities, is a plus
Months 1-8 as an Associate, RF End-to-End Echo System Architecture
As an Associate in the RF Architecture team, you will support staff in the RF architecture design and requirements definition of the end-to-end transmission engineering of ground and space segment.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
Understanding the subsystem components of the end-to-end system Understanding the satellite capabilities focusing on digital payload. Performing link analysis tradeoff of Gateway sizing as a function of frequency band
Months 8-16 as a Terrestrial Network Innovation Associate
As an Associate in the Network Architecture Team, you will support terrestrial network innovation efforts to create the software-defined network infrastructure of Intelsat's future.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
Support development & testing of orchestration tools Support modernization of legacy network services Help execute the technology roadmap Test APIs for Lifecycle Service Orchestration Test new network services & apps Support "cloudification" efforts Test APIs for NFV management & orchestration Support PoCs with hybrid cloud infrastructure Test ETSI MANO Systems Support testing of new network functions Support ideation for hybrid cloud architecture Support evaluation of cloud services
Months 16-24 as an Associate, Service Delivery
As an Associate in the Service Delivery team, you will support the design of the customer service delivery process.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
Develop user stories for customer service scenarios. Review current service implementation and identify User Experience (UX) enhancements Define customer Concept of Operations (CONOPS) for existing and to-be services Define tools for Intelsat and Customer portals allowing the implementation of CONOPS Write Specifications and Request for Proposals (RFP) for new tools
