The VT Group Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) operators are highly-trained and highly-skilled Field Service Representatives, capable of performing a full spectrum of mission support services, including technical and payload operations, and maintenance and sustainment of unmanned systems. Our team of forward-thinking defense leaders formulate strategies for mission success for the following aviation vehicles: Hornet (F/A-18C), Osprey (V-22), Apache (AH-64), Blackhawk (UH-60), Cargo (CH-47), Marine One Presidential Helicopter (VH-92A), Fire Scout (MQ-8C), Orion (P-3C) and the Scan Eagle (Insitu).

VT Group is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic Egress in Beaufort, SC.

Responsibilities
The Aircraft Mechanic Egress (AME) performs organizational, intermediate and limited depot level maintenance to include inspection, operational test, repair, modification and troubleshooting on all assigned aircraft, components and equipment. Applies advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems and to provide technical assistance, guidance and instruction to other employees as needed. Principal Accountabilities (Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract)
Maintains assigned aircraft in accordance with Navy/Marine, manufacturer and company distributors. Responsible for all egress system on and off equipment maintenance on F/A-18 aircraft. Removes, transports, inspects, repairs and reinstalls ejection seats. Inspects, repairs and cleans seat harnesses. Inventories, stores, removes and replaces seat CAD/PAD explosive items Maintains environmental system on F/A-18 aircraft. Maintains, inspects canopy explosive devices. Maintains and inspects on board oxygen generating system (OBOGS) and/or Liquid Oxygen (LOX). Performs aircraft scheduled/unscheduled on and off equipment maintenance. Performs aircraft corrosion control procedures to include wash, wipe down, polish and vacuum. Operates GSE, flight line vehicles and other support equipment as required. Drives tugs for the purpose of towing equipment and aircraft. Annotates maintenance actions in aircraft forms and VIDS/MAF System. Orders aircraft/equipment parts. Supervises/assists in aircraft/equipment movement and flight line foreign object prevention walks. Practices good housekeeping, tool control, FOD awareness/prevention and safety at all times. Shall perform other job related duties as may be assigned. Knowledge & Skills
Shall be qualified on ground support equipment applicable to the specialty. Shall be familiar with Navy technical publications. Capable of conducting on-the-job training and maintenance of Contractor personnel seat/cockpit safety checkout training records; and shall be experienced and qualified in the removal and replacement of ejection seats, canopies and explosive devices, both "I" and "0" levels. Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of applicable maintenance/technical manuals, publications, instructions and special tools and test equipment. Must be familiar with operational capabilities and limitations of aircraft systems. Possess a high degree of expertise of aircraft systems. Possess a thorough working knowledge of the detection, prevention and treatment of corrosion. Must be customer oriented.

Qualifications
Experience & Education
Minimum four (4) years' experience on F/A-18 ejection seat maintenance. Must be a graduate of a military or factory equivalent ejection seat course of instruction. Licensing and Certification Requirements:
Formal/Specialized Training or Equivalent. Hazardous Waste Communication Training. FOD and TCP Awareness Trained. Security Clearance Awareness Training. COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 Program Awareness. ISO 9001-2000 Program Awareness NALCOMIS Trained. Valid State Driver's License. ESD Trained. Support Equipment Operator's License (Tow Tractor at a minimum.) Collateral Duty Inspector. Egress System Checkout. Non-Nuclear Ordnance Explosive Handling Certified. Plane Captain Qualified. Aircraft Towing Certified. Aircraft Brake Rider Certified. Operational Risk Management (ORM) Training. Fuel Surveillance Trained.Physical Requirements/Working Environment
This classification activity is usually accomplished in a hangar/shop/flight line environment and as such requires the scope of physical movements and postures normally associated with these activities. May be required to lift objects whose weight normally will not exceed 70 pounds. Special vision abilities required to perform this job are close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus. The diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, to an environment where inclement weather may subject individual to severe changes of temperature; wind, rain, snow, ice, etc. May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. May be exposed to electrical shock hazards.
