Mid-Level Business Support Specialist
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Mid-Level Business Support Specialist shall provide mission sustainability support, to enhance and deliver functionality and process fulfilment for day-to-day operations across diverse divisions, groups and organizations and independently employ technical and administrative expertise across a wide range of functions, including laws, regulations, policy, routine office operations, and personnel management.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Planning, coordination, execution, and policy development activities associated with administrative, management, and operation activities.
•Managing meetings, briefings, ceremonies, conferences, seminars, training sessions, and working groups.
•Develop implementing instructions and/or standard operating procedures for the position/division assigned.
•Respond to organizational needs and identifying opportunities for proactive engagement.
•Assign actions, synthesize information, and draft or review responses.
•Prepare and coordinate for executive-level signature, MOUs/MOAs, Concepts of Operations, policy, and operational memorandums, directives and regulations, and other correspondence.
•Coordinate Department of Defense directives and Agency regulations and manuals across various communities.
•Focal point for internal and external taskings through completion.
•Compile briefings, draft/edit bulletins, make copies, create briefing slides, manage division/group calendars.
•Draft, process, review, assemble, track and catalog staffing packages.
•Prepare travel orders, itineraries, and travel claims using Department of Defense identified systems/databases.
•Meet deadlines, and complete assignments or actions in accordance with established processes and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
•Active TOP-SECRET Clearance and SCI Eligible.
•Associate's degree or higher required with 5 years' experience acting in the same or correlating labor category capacity and experience in taking instruction, meeting deadlines completing assignments or actions in accordance with established processes and procedures.
•A minimum of 3 years working with the military/government at the G2/J2 level (or other U.S. Government G2/J2 equivalent) required. 8 years' experience supporting an executive-level customer and a minimum of 5 years' experience support at the G2/J2 level (or other U.S. Government G2/J2 level equivalent) may be accepted in lieu of an Associate's degree.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
•At least 5 years' experience in Headquarters element or high ops-tempo environment.
•Strong understanding of general Department of Defense regulations, directives, processes and procedures for the control and dissemination of classified material.
•SharePoint background being highly desired.
•Experience applying Department of Defense travel policy and procedures (Joint Travel Regulations (JTR)/Federal Travel Regulations (FTR)).
