Database Developer

Position Description:

The Oracle Database developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Oracle databases for the DCAPES program. In addition, the database developer will gather and write requirements for customer approval, use continuous integration, change management, and configuration management build and release tools, and resolve technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation.

Qualifications and Experience:
Experience with schema and table design. Experience with a modeling tool like ERWIN or others. Experience in PL/SQL development, writing stored procedures, functions and triggers. Experience in writing PL/SQL code to support Web applications. Experience in data warehouse, data mart and data load. Hands on experience with ETL, SQL data load scripts and SQL data loader. Experience in UNIX environment is a must. Good working knowledge of UNIX shell scripts. Expertise in strategies and approaches for performance optimization, and replication. Ability to use latest Oracle release's features for effective development and superior performance. Experience with Oracle 11g or 12c. Self-starter. Ability to take initiative and ownership. B.S. Computer Science (CS), Information Systems, or other technical degree with 3-5 years of experience (or 5-7 years of experience without degree) in Software Design and Architecture, Software Development Lifecycle, and Secure Software Development. Active DOD Secret-Level Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications Include:
Familiarity with Agile methodologies including Scrum. CompTIA Advanced Security Professional (CASP) certification or Security+ certification. Experience working with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and design. Experienced with related technologies including SQL Developer and TOAD. Oracle Advanced Queuing or queuing technologies. Experience with XML and WS-Security Experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware products desired. Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD)
