Responsibilities
We provide administrative, programmatic, systems engineering, research analysis, and scientific support services to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) Office.

We have immediate openings for Acquisition Support Specialists to support the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) Office Acquisition Division.

Duties will include but are not limited to:
Develop acquisition strategies and supporting program managers in program execution Prepare program documentation such as acquisition plans and Requests for Proposals to support program execution and governance; prepare briefings, status reports and similar documentation to support Acquisition Division, CWMD Office, and DHS leadership requirements Interpret and apply DHS and CWMD Office acquisition guidance and suggesting tailoring and streamlining where appropriate Establish, update, maintain, and track execution of budgets; provide inputs to support the CWMD Office Future Years Homeland Security Program (FYHSP) Coordinate program reviews and interface across a broad stakeholder community and different functional areas: federal, state and local mission partners; DHS HQ; inter-agency; industry; and requirements generation, R&D, and sustainment

Qualifications
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Active DoD Secret Clearanc with the ability to obtain DHS Suitability Bachelor's Degree Minimum of 10 years of experience providing program management, acquisition, contract execution and life-cycle support to programs Demonstrated experience working as an acquisition specialist supporting a multi-disciplinary team in a complex government system development and acquisition environment Knowledge of government acquisition and systems engineering process frameworks and experience contributing to the development of key systems engineering life cycle (SELC) artifacts

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
Master's Degree (may partially offset the 10 years of experience requirement) Prior support to a major DHS, DOD, or other federal agency program Experience in Logistics support and Integrated Life Cycle Support Plan (ILSP) Development Cybersecurity experience Experience in Systems/Equipment Deployment One must have good written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills. Ability to follow directions is a must. Applicants must be able to work well alone and as part of a team. A Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one will be required. U.S. Citizenship required.
