Responsibilities
Responsible for resolving technical issues pertaining to shipboard integration for the Electromagnetic Aircraft Launching System (EMALS) and the Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG) installed on USS GERALD R. FORD (CVN 78). Applicants must be familiar with stakeholders and in the operation and support of aircraft launch and recovery equipment. Employees will work closely with system designers, installers, in-service engineering agents, technical warrant holders, and program office personnel to track problem reports, test discrepancies, waivers and deviations. Employees will attend collaboration meetings, prepare written reports, correspondence and briefing materials documenting findings and results, proposed actions, and resolution of issues. Employees may travel to Newport News, VA four times per year to observe equipment installations and tests.

Qualifications
Bachelors Degree desired (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Science) Minimum of five years' experience Experience with In-Service Engineering or operation/maintenance of aircraft launch and recovery equipment installed on aircraft carriers Experience with design, development testing of Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS) or Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG) developed and tested at Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division in Lakehurst, NJ installed on USS GERALD R. FORD (CVN 78) Experience with use of Microsoft Office Suite of Applications to produce written reports, capture and analyze data and prepare technical presentations. One must have exceptional written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to follow directions is a must. Applicants must be able to work well alone and as part of a team. A Secret Security clearance is required. U.S. Citizenship required.
