Responsibilities
The successful candidate will support operations at NSWC Philadelphia Division. Responsibilities will include:
Develop and test Damage Control (DC) Automation Software, including quality assurance and functional testing Manage the development of Software Requirements Specifications (SRS) for DC automation software. Provide training for the use and management of DC software and procedures to officers and crew members of US Navy, US Coast Guard, and foreign navy ships Provide input to NSWCPD for DC automation applications, instructions, and specification requirements Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Seven (7) years of professional experience as an Engineering Technician Five (5) years of professional experience tracing signals and diagnosing or isolating cause for electrical failures Five (5) years of professional experience reading, understanding, and interpreting electrical schematics Five (5) years of professional experience generating write ups that detail testing performed, troubleshooting steps, and findings Five (5) years of professional experience using a digital multimeter to conduct troubleshooting hardware systems Two (2) years of professional experience within industry acting as a lead engineering technician Two (2) years of professional experience manipulating computer peripheral settings for use in desired applications Two (2) years of professional experience with personal computer file and directory structures Either a Bachelor's degree OR a high school diploma (or equivalent) and additional cybersecurity certificate (CCNA or CAP or Security+ or CNSSI 4012-4016 certificate or NDU CISO certificate) is required Experience with U.S. Navy damage control processes is required
One must have good written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills. Ability to follow directions is a must. Applicants must be able to work well alone and as part of a team. A Security Clearance is required. U.S. Citizenship required
