Summary
About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM), Security Resiliency Activity, ACofS, G2, Army Insider Threat Program, Fort Belvoir, VA (DUTY LOCATION: Fort Campbell, KY).

Responsibilities
Takes action to correct deficiencies noted, makes recommendations for improvements in procedures which affect other operations. Approves leave and is responsible for time and attendance. Responsible for implementing the security responsibilities associated with the Department of the Army (DA) Insider Threat (InT) program by continuously deterring, detecting, and mitigating insider threats. Actions cases and assigns cases to personnel and delegates authority as necessary. Provides guidance, mentorship, and support to personnel in addition to security professionals across the Department of the Army (DA).

Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis. In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter. All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management. Must submit to participate in the Defense Security Service?s Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Program, attaining a minimum of Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within 1 year of selection to the position.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience analyzing and/or reporting in the area of personnel security relative to insider threat to include derogatory information adjudication; and experience providing advice and guidance on information security to include safeguarding, storage, marking, and handling in order to identify any information security violations or incidences. Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-12).

Two year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct Deposit of Pay is required. This an OBILGATED position.
