Overview
Alban CAT, the Caterpillar dealer for the mid-Atlantic region is accepting applications for a Marine and Industrial Technician II in our Elkridge branch.

Responsibilities
The Marine and Industrial Technician II is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing both Caterpillar and non-Caterpillar marine and industrial equipment at customer jobsites. Troubleshoot intermediate level mechanical and electrical failures of marine gear and gas engines. Disassemble, inspect and determine parts needed. Determine corrective through the inspection of failed parts. Inspect components removed from machines to determine their reusability. Commission S/U industrial, marine, gas engines application and installation. Perform light electrical repairs; heavy mechanical repairs, DOC/DPF, light overhauls; fuel systems and cooling systems. Interpret and utilize information from operating, maintenance and service manuals/bulletins. Reassemble to factory specifications. Perform sea trial and data logger; engine vision for testing and repairs of marine gear and gas engines. Prepare parts requisitions and parts returns. Complete service reports and other necessary reports and forms accurately and submit them in a timely manner. Safely drive a service vehicle. Perform various other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Must have experience diagnosing and troubleshooting intermediate level mechanical and electrical DOC/DPF/SCR with marine and industrial equipment; control systems preferred. Must be able to perform sea trial and data logger; engine vision. Proficiency in the use and application of all CAT electronic tools and software, such as SIS, ET, etc. Must be well organized and have the ability to prioritize workload while providing excellent customer service. Must have the ability to repair Caterpillar and competitive components and machines. Must have a mechanical aptitude. Must have good troubleshooting skills. Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record.
