Job Description:
Marton Technologies, a subsidiary of Panum Group, LLC, is hiring Unit Supply Specialist (92Y) Instructors to train Soldiers attending training at the Quartermaster School based at Fort Lee, VA.
The 92Y Unit Supply Specialist Instructor will execute performance-oriented classroom and hands-on instruction to students attending resident training. Instructors/Writers shall provide classroom and hands-on instruction in accordance with TRADOC approved Program of Instruction (POI), using Government furnished training material for the course(s) they are supporting. Contractor personnel shall support courses in residence and/or via Mobile Training Team (MTT) as required. The target audience for this training is to be AIT soldiers. C-5.1.9 92Y Instructors/Writers. Instructor/writers supporting 92Y Courses shall be able to employ Blended Learning Products {Digital Training Enabler, Interactive Multimedia Instruction and Global Combat Support Systems - Army Live Educational Environment (GCSS-Army Live eEnv)}.
When not instructing, 92Y Instructors will maintain and recommend corrections and updates to lesson plans for the class they teach. Lesson plans include practical exercises, graphic aids, interactive multimedia courseware and tests using the Training Development Capability (TDC) software or its approved replacement. Instructors will support Test Room by maintaining and updating Test Control Materials. Instructors will update and maintain student materials and workbooks. The lesson plans will follow the format described in TRADOC Regulation 350-70, including all supporting material being linked to the POI. The Instructors will translate lesson plans into Distance Learning Courseware like techniques used in academia such as Blackboard, which includes discussion boards and posting assignments online. Input must be TDC and Blackboard (or equivalent) compliant.
Responsibilities
· All instruction shall conform to the principles and concepts contained in the Government-approved program of instruction and shall assure performance to standards for all stated tasks.
· Instruction shall include classroom/laboratory conference instruction, discussion, demonstration, practical exercises, testing, and student critiques.
· Instructors shall provide classroom support which may include: preparing classroom or training area; reviewing lesson plans, subject matter material; inserting and removing faults impairments and problems; picking up and returning training aids/devices; maintaining equipment modifications implantation and updating training aids/devices.
· Provide instruction in accordance with TRADOC approved Programs of Instruction (POI) within appropriate skill set area to students
· Assist in updating student folders and handouts as needed.
· Assist in revising lesson plans and presentations as needed.
Skills Required
· Must possess a minimum of six years of experience in the Military Occupational Specialty they are supporting.
· Must have prior experience as an instructor or observer/controller.
· Preferred to have completed the Common Faculty Development Instructor Course and the Installation Support and Contractor Course. Must have completed Army Basic Instructor Course (ABIC) and Intermediate Facilitation Skills Course (IFSC) or Small Group Leader Instructor Training Course. If haven’t already completed, then can successfully complete these courses.
· Must be proficient with Microsoft (MS) Office computer programs (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
· Instructors must be able to work with minimum guidance.
· Must perform duties requiring moderate lifting (not to exceed 45 lbs.), long periods of standing, sitting or walking, outdoor exposure and endure inclement weather conditions on occasion.
· Must possess outstanding oral and written communication skills.
As part of the proponent certification process, instructors will:
Will be able to obtain a score of 90 or better on all written and practical exams for instructional areas within 30 days of the start of performance.
Have an evaluation by a certified evaluator or certified instructor; with no more than 3 NO-GO ratings in Section 1 and a score of 24 or higher in Section 2 (with no zero ratings) on the Instructor Observation Rubric. The last two consecutive evaluations shall have met this criteria.
Will complete the right-seat ride prior to providing instruction.
