Job Title: Accounts Payable Accountant

Job Description:
EverWatch is in search of an Accounts Payable Accountant in Reston, VA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Accounting and Reporting
* Preform daily A/P Voucher Processing for vendor invoices to include recording the transaction in the accounting system
* Assist with Expense Report Processing to include recording the transaction in the accounting system
* Maintain source documents for processing expense reports and AP Vouchers
* Set up vendors in accounting system and maintain records for accurate preparation of year end 1099 reporting
* Process weekly Vendor A/P payments
* Assist with month-end closing process
* Maintain accounting control procedures
Support
* Provide support to Finance department with follow up on invoices, etc.
* Explain expense reporting, accounts payable invoices, invoices to customers, and accounting policies to staff, leaders, vendors and customers.
* Assist accounting department with scanning and filing of documentation
* Assist accounting department pulling documentation for the annual financial audit

Experience and Skills:
Education and Work Experience:
* Bachelors Degree in Accounting with 2+ years of accounting experience or Associate in Accounting Degree with 5+ years of accounting experience
* Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Government Contract Accounting, experience with CostPoint a plus
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
* Skilled in math application, detailed oriented, good interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to work independently as well the ability to work well with accounting team
