Location: Virginia Beach, VA (Sabre St.)

Department: Quality Assurance

Job Type: Full-Time; On call hours required

Shift: Mon-Friday 9AM-5PM

How you will contribute to LifeNet Health's success:

As an Associate Medical Director you would review donor medical and social history along with available clinical data and determines suitability of donated tissue for transplantation. Provide oversight for procedures of clinical laboratory functions or advisory functions for other LifeNet Health departments, as assigned.

What you'll do:
Reviews LifeNet tissue donor charts for suitability as tissue donors in accordance with all applicable standards and regulations and good medical judgment.Serves as a resource person for all medical aspects of donor screening and laboratory analyses.Develops, reviews and revises tissue donor criteria in conjunction with the Medical Director and management.Reviews reports of tissue related adverse reactions in conjunction with Medical Director and recommends appropriate course of action.Reviews and monitors testing methodologies and ensures compliance with clinical and LifeNet standards as assigned by the Medical Director.Participates in and complies with LifeNet's Quality Systems Programs and serves on the Medical Director Advisory Committee.
What you'll bring (Minimum Requirements):
MD or DO Licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of VirginiaBoard certified in surgical or medical specialty/sub specialtyVirginia Medical License -Valid Virginia Medical License and required to report any claims, changes of licensure and changes in clinical privileges, if any, at affected listed hospitals within 30 days of said change5 Years' Experience actively involved in the practice of specialty/sub specialty within the past 5 years
