Career Opportunity
We are currently seeking candidates for a Web Developer located in our Wallops Island, Virginia station. The Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC) Wallops Island, VA requires support for IT engineering, operation, and technical expertise in support of equipment, systems and computer programs in support of the Navy warfighter. SCSC provides live and simulated integrated warfare capabilities in a net-centric, maritime environment to develop, test, evaluate and conduct fleet operations and training for the warfighter.

Responsibilities
Lead small software development projects using agile methods to develop applications within the ASP.NET framework. Plan and coordinate execution of software development activities to include requirements elicitation, development of schedules, documenting designs, coding, debugging, testing, and facilitating user acceptance. Establish standard operating procedures for software development activities. Optimize existing web applications and ensure applications comply with the Department of Defense regulations.
Travel
This position includes a low level of travel.

Education and Experience
A Bachelor's of Science or Arts degree, preferably in Web Design, Computer Science, or related discipline and two years of relevant experience. Four years of directly related experience in web, Intranet, and MS SharePoint design, demonstrated experience in secure web design, MS SharePoint administration and workflow, HTML, XML, XHTML, JavaScript, MS SQL, may substitute for BS/BA. A Master of Science or Arts degree will substitute for two years of the relevant experience requirement. Relevant experience: Extensive knowledge of programming languages to include HTML, VB Script, XML, JavaScript, XHMTL, MS SQL, C++, C#, and MS SharePoint.

Qualifications
Must hold a current Secret security clearance
Certificates, Licenses, Registration
Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
