Career Opportunity
We are currently seeking candidates for a System Analyst/Telecommunications Specialist position at our Wallops Island, Virginia station. The Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC) Wallops Island, VA requires support for management, engineering, operation, and technical expertise in support of the activation, operations, maintenance and engineering of equipment, systems and computer programs in support of all NAVSEA and PEO IWS missions supported by SCSC. The SCSC provides live and simulated integrated warfare capabilities in a net-centric, maritime environment to develop, test, evaluate and conduct fleet operations and training for the war-fighter.


Responsibilities

Provides comprehensive preventative and corrective maintenance, and troubleshooting for fiber and infrastructure, including AEGIS, Ship Self Defense System, and WIETC Assess systems and assist with development of system upgrades Troubleshoot systems and infrastructure to correct issues Install and maintain cabling infrastructure Monitor maintenance request system and perform customer service (installations, repairs, and removal) Maintain network and system documentation

Qualifications
Education and Experience
Five years' experience working with fiber optics and commercial copper cable fabrication, inventory control and electric design and fabrication, voice, video, data, and wireless communications networks, demonstrated experience in planning, design, development, and modifications of existing or planned voice and data communications network systems and subsystems, demonstrated experience in military unique telecommunications deployments, video teleconferencing (VTC) systems, fiber optic and copper infrastructures, and Integrated Digital Switching Network (ISDN). Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
