Overview
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
We are seeking a qualified inspector with a minimum of five years of QA or QC experience on large scale, historic renovation-type projects for mechanical, electrical, plumbing and life safety trades.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Night shift, start times may vary 5 days per week; 8 hours per day Weekend work - occasionally Fingerprint-based criminal history background check, DMV driving record check, reference verification, and work history will be required prior to employment. Valid driver's license and safety shoes required.

Responsibilities
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide quality assurance and inspections to verify work being installed complies with the contract documents, building codes and standards including workmanship, labor, materials and equipment. Must have advanced knowledge and understanding of drawings and specifications and working on historic renovation type projects. Prepare daily reports, review RFIs and submittals, perform mock-up reviews, develop and review punchlists, maintain testing and project logs, verify payment applications and schedules, verify as-built documents, coordinate work activities with owner stakeholders, assist other inspectors, and perform other duties as assigned. Must be self-motivated, have strong written and verbal communication skills, and be able to work in a proactive team environment with other QA/QC team members. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, document control software such as Prolog, navigating electronic files for specifications and drawings, completing daily reports, and maintaining daily project records. Experience with BIM is a plus.

Qualifications
EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE:
High school diploma required. BS in mechanical, electrical engineering, or other technical degree, or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience are required. Must possess OSHA 10-hour or OSHA 30-hour certification or obtain within 3 months of hire. Construction training, experience, and/or coursework in building construction, mechanical or electrical engineering, project management or materials, or a combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates one's ability to perform the main responsibilities.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to walk long distances throughout the project site, climb ladders, work at heights, and work outdoors in a wide range of weather conditions. Ability to maintain a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
GUIDANCE/RESPONSIBILITY:
Assignments are generally received from Senior Inspectors, Construction Managers, or Project Manager.
