Overview
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION:
Experienced in the oversight or inspection of construction work activities to verify compliance with contract and/or code requirements, with demonstrated history of an increasing level of responsibility in the building design and/or construction industry. Experience in one or more the following disciplines/areas: architectural, historic preservation, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, low voltage systems. Knowledge of the three-phase quality control process desired.

Responsibilities
MAIN DUTIES:
Proactive integration with Quality Assurance/Quality Control team to verify that work that is installed meets the contract requirements and quality standards. Duties include:
Review of project documents (drawings and specification) to understand the scope and quality requirements. Review and tracking of RFI's and submittals within the area of responsibility. Actively participate in meetings to review and establish quality requirements and verification process. Perform field inspections to verify that work installed meets the contract requirements and quality standards Preparation of detailed daily reports documenting work activity, observations, inspections performed, and any quality or safety issues observed Active communication with the project team to identify issues and potential resolutions Preparation of non-compliance notices as needed to document non-compliant work that has not been corrected in a timely manner. Tracking of NCN's until work has been adequately corrected. Review of contractor payment applications to verify accuracy. Perform final inspections, prepare punchlists, and perform verification that punchlist items are corrected by the contractor. Review of contractor's redline drawings to verify they are being accurately maintained. Review of project schedule activities to confirm it is reflective of the work being performed in the field. Notification to project management team when it is not. Build positive and productive working relationships with peers, superiors, and subordinates.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
Obtains training, professional development, and introduction to marketing including involvement with professional associations. May include limited project management responsibilities. Actively participates in company activities, including but not limited to area and company meetings. Obtains intermediate to advanced training and certifications. Maintains any required certifications Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE:
Bachelor's degree in related field or high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) and significant years of experience in engineering, architecture, or a skilled craft in the construction industry; or an equivalent combin­ation of training and experience. Must possess OSHA 10-hour or OSHA 30-hour certification or obtain within 3 months of hire. Working knowledge of basic mathematics including algebraic, geometric and trigonometric computations based on field measurements. Construction related training and/or experience that demonstrates ability to perform duties.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to independently implement QA/QC procedures. Ability to understand and track project schedules. Ability to collect, analyze and interpret statistical data. Ability to identify potential problems and derive recommended solutions from past experiences. Ability to utilize computers (including Microsoft Office software) and other specialized equipment. Ability to read and interpret construction plans and contract specifications. Skilled at applying mathematical formulas and engineering principles to determine field adjustments. Ability to communicate issues effectively and responsibly (verbally and in writing) with internal and external customers (i.e., contractors, owners, subconsultants and fellow team members). Ability to obtain and maintain industry certifications specific to duties assigned. Able to stand and sit as needed on project work sites, climb ladders, work at heights, and work outdoors in a wide range of weather conditions.
