Overview
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION:
Experienced professional with expertise in project risk management in the construction industry. Evidence of demonstrated expertise in more than five of the following areas of practice:
Cost risk analysis Schedule risk analysis Integrated cost-schedule risk analysis Facilitating and conducting project risk workshops Formulating risk mitigation strategies Developing Project Risk Management Plans (PRMP) Implementing PRMP on a wide variety of projects Performing cost risk analyses in accordance with US Government Accountability Office (GAO) best practices Developing risk and contingency management plans (RCMP) in accordance with US Department of Transportation Federal Transit Administration's (FTA) Oversight Procedure 40 - Risk and Contingency Review (OP-40)Expertise in project risk management is required to be in conjunction with minimum ten years of experience in the design and construction industry and evidence of progressive career development as critical path method (CPM) scheduler, cost estimator, earned value analyst, risk analyst, construction manager, and/or project manager. Ability to work and collaborate with construction managers, contractors, owners, and designers.
Responsibilities
MAIN DUTIES:
Leads and/or supports project risk management assignments from inception through final completion. While not engaged in the project risk management assignments, candidates are expected to be able to perform as senior scheduler /cost estimator / earned value analyst/ construction manager, and/or project manager.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
Participates in company activities and initiatives.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE:
Bachelor's degree in industry-related field, advanced degree preferred. Detailed knowledge of construction, principles of construction management and project controls, with specialized knowledge in several areas including scheduling, cost estimating, documentation, contract administration, construction techniques.
Decision and Risk Management Professional (DRMP), PMI Project Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP), or related risk management certification strongly preferred. Other supporting licensure and certifications desired include:
Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP) Earned Value Professional (EVP) Certified Cost Professional (CCP) Certified Construction Manager (CCM) Professional Engineer (PE)SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to develop strong relationships with current and potential clients. Exhibit leadership, interpersonal and communication skills. Strong verbal, written and presentation skills. Ability to initiate, organize and facilitate large risk workshops participated by diverse group of subject matter experts (SMEs).
Demonstrated skills in CPM scheduling and risk analysis software applications to include but not limited to:
Primavera Project Planner (P6) by Oracle Primavera Risk Analysis by Oracle Polaris by Booz Allen @Risk by Palisade Safran Risk by Safran MS Project by Microsoft GUIDANCE/RESPONSIBILITY:
Reports to the Area Manager. Able to work independently, seeking guidance and direction when required from Director of Project Risk Management Services.
SUPERVISORY:
Non-supervisory role.
