Overview
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION:
Extensive experience managing and inspecting construction work activities, with demonstrated increasing responsibility. Experience may be in the following sectors: federal, municipal, K-12 school, higher education, healthcare, hospitality, or commercial.

Responsibilities
MAIN DUTIES:
Act as overall liaison between the Owner and General Contractors on specialized, multi-disciplined construction projects, including job site construction inspection. Performs on-site field compliance inspection, quality assurance and progress monitoring at various construction projects for conformance to specifications and codes. Reviews contractor payment applications for accuracy and reasonableness. Verifies that new construction is completed in accordance with the contract, plans and specifications, approved shop drawings, approved material lists, and permit requirements. Communicates with and advises contractors of discrepancies and the necessary actions to conform to the plans and specifications. Coordinates third party testing. Communicates effectively and professionally with Owner, contractor, designer, and MBP personnel. Performs final inspection, prepares punchlists, and verifies all items on the punchlist are completed or corrected by the contractor. Maintains project records including daily reports documenting work performed by construction contractors, including detailed locations of work, construction workforce, equipment, and materials records, as well as project photos and inspection reports. Coordinates and tracks review of submittals and responses to requests for information. Maintains project correspondence. Researches the proper inspection and construction methods to be prepared for inspection requirements. Maintains a redlined set of as-built plans and specifications Assist in constructibility and biddability reviews. Monitors project budget and schedules. Provides customer services and good etiquette to the public, adjacent property owners, and other project stakeholders. Performs various administrative duties to include but not limited to: daily timesheet, monthly expense report, and monthly mileage report.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
Obtains training, professional development, and introduction to marketing including involvement with professional associations. May be required to participate at shortlist interviews. May include limited project management responsibilities. Obtains intermediate to advanced training and certifications. Actively participates in company activities, including but not limited to branch and company meetings.

Qualifications
EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE:
High school, some technical school. Associates degree preferred. Significant years of experience in engineering, architecture, or a skilled craft in the construction industry; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Must possess OSHA 10-hour or OSHA 30-hour certification or obtain within 3 months of hire. Knowledge of construction practices, principles of construction management and project controls, with working knowledge in areas including scheduling, cost estimating, documentation, contract administration, and construction techniques. Knowledge of personnel and project management techniques including: budgeting, leadership, training and business development. Construction related training and/or experience that demonstrates ability to perform duties. Must have computer skills and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, Email, Internet navigation, web-based tools and other specialized equipment. Knowledge of construction and inspection materials, methods, and tools utilized in the type of construction, repair or renovation work. Proficient knowledge of multiple construction operations. Preferred certifications: CCM (Certified Construction Manager), CQM-C (Construction Quality Management for Contractors)
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to independently implement quality control procedures. Ability to understand and track project schedules. Ability to collect, analyze and interpret statistical data. Ability to provide technical supervision, leadership and training to others. Ability to identify potential problems and derive recommended solutions from past experiences. Ability to utilize computers (including Microsoft Office software) and other specialized equipment. Ability to read and interpret construction plans and contract specifications. Ability to communicate issues effectively and responsibly (verbally and in writing) with internal and external customers (i.e., contractors, owners, subconsultants and fellow team members). Ability to obtain and maintain industry certifications specific to duties assigned. Able to stand and sit as needed on project work sites, climb ladders, work at heights, and work outdoors in a wide range of weather conditions. Ability to safely navigate construction work sites with uneven terrain. Ability to maintain a valid driver's license with a good driving record.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Fingerprint-based criminal history background check, DMV driving record check, reference verification, and work history will be required prior to employment.
