SAIC is looking for a Systems Analyst (Journeyman) to support our customer in creating capabilities and providing technical services and subject matter expertise in Mission Command and C2 Maneuver systems. You will provide technical support to the Family of Tactical and Strategic Mission Command systems to include: AFATDS, JADOCS, FOS, FF-Q37, FF-Q36, Centaur LWTFDS, PVM, MMS-P, PFED, LCMR Q50, AN/TQP-53 and LCMR Q49.
Works with Software Engineers to develop strategies and define requirements and provide information needed for updates to mission processing software; performs activities related to the analysis, design, development, test and maintenance of complex software systems; implements computer system requirements by defining and analyzing systems problems; designs and tests updates and solutions; provides technical surveillance to determine the adequacy of the software engineering program to achieve design and development objectives; performs technical surveillance of systems and software through in depth review and exercise of software product functionality; provides subject matter expertise (SME) as it relates to Weapons Locking Radars such as the AN/TPQ-36, AN/TPQ-37, AN/TPQ-50, and AN/TPQ-53; develops integration test procedures and strategies; conducts field exercises using weapon locating radars, including emplacement of the equipment, generator operations, march order, and preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS); conducts live fire testing at remote locations which sometimes involves temporary duty of three weeks or more; supports software engineers with integration tests and field exercises with weapon locating radars.
Required Education & Experience:
Associate Degree in a related discipline and six (6) years related experience; OR, High School and seven (7) years related experience. Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience providing fires and radar military fire support operations, system administration, installation, and maintenance.Three additional years of applicable experience may be substituted for the degree.Willing to travel up to 25% CONUS to support operational requirements, potential for multiple trips for up to 5 week durations.Must be knowledgeable in weapon locating radar operations, and familiar with doctrinal concepts associated with radar operation, techniques, tactics, and procedures.Must be knowledgeable in radar repair operations especially as it relates to the AN/TPQ-53Must be able to prepare for operation, and operate AN/TPQ-36, AN/TPQ-37, AN/TPQ-50, and AN/TPQ-53 radarsMust be able to operate and perform operator maintenance on prime movers, and associated equipment.Must be able to establish and maintain radio and wire communications.Must be able to maintain Weapon locating radars and associated equipment.Must be able to perform reconnaissance and selection of site for emplacement of radar.Must be able to lift on an occasional basis a maximum of 100 pounds with frequent or constant lifting of 50 pounds.Must be able to obtain licenses to operate military vehicles for field exercises.
• Must currently possess a secret clearance.
Advanced Degree is desirable
• Familiarity with radar position analysis using RPAS
• Familiarity with AFATDS
• Experience as a Radar Section Chief, or Radar Platoon Sergeant
• Experience in MOS 94M
