Scope of Position: 
The OCC Supervisor will provide professional and efficient supervision of the Operations Control Center and its staff.  He/she will supervise and support a team of Control Center Operators by directing workflow and monitoring the OCC and its staff's performance.  The OCC Supervisor will ensure safe and accurate monitoring and control of renewable energy assets in order to minimize production losses and maximize efficiency and generation while complying with contractual obligations and all applicable North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) standards and practices.  The OCC Supervisor is responsible and accountable for all operational issues that occur in the OCC during their shift work assignments.

Working Conditions:
Normal office environment where 90% of the time is spent in the office, working at a desk/workstation and 10% of the time traveling to offsite meetings as needed. 

Responsibilities:
• Ensure a safe working environment at all times.
• Provide personnel supervision within the dynamics of the OCC's 24/7/365 multi-shift work environment. 
• Schedule 24/7 OCC coverage with multi-person crew shifts. 
• Working with the HR department, responsible for performance reviews, interviewing, and disciplining of Operations Technicians.
• Responsible for providing the OCC Manager and/or Director detailed information (both verbal and written) regarding individual personnel's actions, when discipline and/or discharge is being considered.
• Establishes individual guidelines required for monitoring multiple projects while complying with each project's contract. 
• Train staff on all required guidelines, processes and procedures and ensure that they are followed.
• Proficiently operate computers and specific SCADA systems from various renewable energy technologies from multiple manufacturers. 
• Must be able to become proficient at remotely troubleshooting renewable energy systems (turbines / inverters / substations / networks / communication equipment).
• Ensure regulatory compliance with all interconnected utilities and off-takers.
• Support, and perform if trained and certified, the safe operation of all balance-of-plant activities, including substation clearances and switching as required.
• Directs staff in monitoring and identifying performance issues to maximize plant productivity.
• Perform duties of Operations Technician - monitors turbines, resets turbines when possible, and notifies appropriate personnel when required according to the established guidelines, as necessary.
• Will be on-call for emergency situations at OCC and must be willing to work other shifts as required.
• Maintain records of OCC operation and personnel status.
• Maintains a positive, professional work environment that fosters collaboration and team work.
• Assure all procedures, policies, and personnel are working together to provide service to OCC customers.
• All other duties as assigned by the OCC Manager or his/her designee.

Qualifications:
• Minimum five (5) years of supervisory experience preferred, with emphasis on 24/7 shift work (power plant environment).
• Bachelor's degree in technical curriculum or equivalent business / military experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.  
• Must show ability to multi-task.
• Must demonstrate excellent computer and networking skills.
• High level of expertise with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must be familiar with industrial communications and SCADA equipment.
• Understanding or experience with NERC, FERC and system operator requirements.
• Must possess and maintain NERC Balancing and Interchange certification or ability to attain certification within 12 months.
