Job Description:

Applied Research Associates, Inc. has an outstanding opportunity for a GIS & Visualization Developer to provide user interface development and tools for analysts providing Counter-WMD Mission Support.This position requires knowledge of HTML/CSS/Javascript in order to build data/visualization focused analytic tools and prototypes. Problem sets will likely involve user interface challenges to balance usability while displaying information dense tools. The ideal candidate will have experience working with charting/mapping tools such as (Highcharts, D3, ESRI Javascript, Leaflet) or a strong interest and aptitude in learning interactive graphical UI development.

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Required Experience:
Bachelor's degree insoftware developmentor equivalent degree.Minimum 5 years of experienceExperience with HTML/CSS/JavascriptExperience with Highcharts, D3, ESRI Javascript, LeafletTop Secret clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information based on a current and valid Single Scope Background InvestigationKnowledge and use of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Desired Qualifications:
Minimum 8 years of experienceUI/UX ExperienceKnowledge of agile software development mindset tools (JIRA, Git, Jenkins)Knowledge of modern web frameworks and development practices (templating, React/Angular/Vue, SPAs, dependency management, and build tools)
