Job Description
This position provides Liaison to the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) on behalf of the Joint Trauma Analysis and Prevention of Injury in Combat (JTAPIC) program.This position will be located at USSOCOM Headquarters at MacDill Air Force Base, FL.The successful candidate must have extensive background in Special Operations, preferably as a Special Operations Combat Medic.
Specific duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
Facilitates collection of reports, data, and evidence pertaining to casualty-producing combat incidentsCoordinates with deployed Special Operations elements to provide JTAPIC access to combat dataCoordinates with combat hospitals to facilitate recovery of physical evidence relevant to combat casualtiesIdentifies gaps in available combat incident data and initiates collection efforts to fill themDevelops injury mitigation strategies, to include: training; operational Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPS), trauma treatment procedures, etc.Provides professional expertise in support of JTAPIC-directed analytical efforts in response to Requests for Information (RFIs)Participates in JATPIC working groups and other meetings as directed
Key Responsibilities
Establish and maintain professional liaison relationships with United States Special Operations Command headquarters and operational unitsDevelop relationships, strategies, and mechanisms to facilitate rapid and comprehensive access to mission planning and execution information (CONOPS, mission radio/chat logs, after-action reporting) at the conclusion of operations/missions resulting in combat casualtiesEstablish relationship, strategies, and mechanisms to facilitate the timely recovery of physical evidence (to include personal protective equipment (PPE), projectiles, and fragmentation) for JTAPIC forensic analysis, or detailed reporting of forensic analysis conducted elsewhereProvides general subject matter expertise relevant to overall USSOF operational capabilities and TTPSProvides detailed subject matter expertise on USSOF capabilities and procedures to provide immediate point of injury treatment to combat casualtiesWorks with other project areas and partner organizations inside the JTAPIC program to facilitate the integration of operations, intelligence, medical, and materiel data in support of holistic analytical efforts
Required Qualifications
Current TS/SCI is required for this positionAdditional polygraph examinations may be requiredBachelor's Degree. Degree requirement may be waived by designated representative based upon review of resume by customer and strong job related experience or special skillsMust possess a minimum of eight years operational experience within the US Special Operations communityMust possess strong research and writing skills and ability to effectively operate as a member of an analytical teamMust be proficient at briefing large audiences and communicating information in a clear, concise, logical mannerMust be proficient in use of Microsoft Office suite, basic computer applications, and operations and intelligence analysis and reporting systems and databases

Preferred Qualifications
Recent tactical experience, preferably in support of Special Operations Forces (SOF)Experience and training as a SOF Combat Medic
