Job Description
The Network Administrator is part of a team that supports projects within Cognosante's State Solutions (CSS) business unit. The Network Administrator is responsible to ensure all hardware, software, and other IT assets are available and functioning properly to support project delivery and business operations activities of the onsite team. This person maintains a reliable, secure and efficient data communications network and deploys, configures, maintains and monitors all active network equipment in order to ensure smooth network operation. This individual is responsible for identifying ongoing IT needs, ensuring local continuity in IT operations, and working with corporate helpdesk and technology teams to maintain facility IT operations. The Network Administrator is dedicated to ensuring service delivery is maintained and IT asset integrity supports ongoing healthcare business operations and service delivery.
This position is required to work onsite full-time in the Topeka, KS area with an anticipated start date of April 1, 2020.
Key Responsibilities
Support, configure, and maintain network and in-house servers for project staffEstablish work station technology and access for project staffProvide local user account maintenance and accessSupport any facility troubleshooting and IT supportWork with delivery team to resolve any IT hardware, software and network issues to meet project service level agreementsMonitor network performance availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency to ensure network optimizationSupport any file or data exchanges between the customer and project staffWork with Cognosante corporate systems and technology team to ensure policies and standards are maintainedMaintain local IT security and integrityFacilitate back-up and disaster recovery operationsParticipate in other project tasks as necessary
Minimum Qualifications
A minimum of 3 years' experience providing effective IT support in an operational environment with 40 or more operational staff usersA minimum of 3 years' experience in a Network Administrator role with hands on experience in deploying and maintaining networksExperience with firewalls, remote VPN implementation troubleshooting and problem resolutionExperience with Microsoft Active Directory environmentAbility to set up and configure TCP/IP based distributed networking using VPN and MPLS cloud technologiesProficiency with MS Office Suite, including MS Project and SharePointExperience maintaining web-based service access
