Job Description
Experience includes engagement experience in project scope and approach, ability to focus on project delivery and business and technical integration, oversight of key business and process enablers, provide strategic direction, vision, and leadership.Candidate willwork with the Project Director and other senior staff to drive business strategy and planning changes at the executive levels.Candidateis proficient in managing the project team and daily operations of project development, project delivery and oversight of key business enablers on projects to achieve the project objectives and goals. This position is responsible for communications with project stakeholders, project and management of multiple projects across a Health Care Delivery system.
Key Responsibilities
Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for VHA HRO initiativesManage all aspects of VHA HRO project to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly support the achievement of strategic objectivesReport on project success criteria results, metrics, test and deployment, management activities to expand and mature these capabilities for VHAPrepare estimates and detailed project plan for all phases of the project Work creatively an analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellenceParticipate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for VHAProcure adequate resources to achieve project objectives in planned timeframesManage the day-to-day project activities and resourcesManage a team with a diverse array of talents and responsibilitiesMonitor staff performanceProvide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communication across VHA and Cognosante leadershipUnderstand interdependencies between technology, operations and business needsDemonstrate a functional acumen to support how solutions will address VHA goals while maintaining alignment with industry best practicesManage project scope and changesProvide on-site leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestonesProducing accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycleAct as an internal quality control check for the VHA HRO projectManage ongoing quality control and participate in quality issue resolutionDevelop and manage all aspects of project and program engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, teaming partners, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issuesSet and continually manage project and program expectations while delegating and managing deliverables with team members and stakeholdersPlans and integrated change communication schedules within industry-standard frameworks and the client's contextTrack all key milestones to ensure on-time completion and deliverables are of high-qualityAbility to negotiate and influence within a collaborative frameworkDemonstrated initiative to analyze and resolve problems quickly, efficiently and collaborativelyDemonstrated ability to anticipate future trends/consequences and create innovative strategies and flexible plansStrong personal impact; high stress tolerance; analytical; market/selling; counseling and coaching, confrontation; behavior modeling, overcoming resistance and conflict management skillsServes as a resource for team members and VHA clients. Makes charts and graphs to record results. Prepares and delivers presentations, training and briefings, as requiredServes as the subject matter expert for process improvement, project management, and change management to drive organizational HRO transformation priorities and strategic projectsProvides mentorship to leaders in the form of coaching, project support, and follow-up training on specific PI or safety tools, behavior modeling etc to influence outcomesAbility to perform work cooperatively with internal and external clients/customersAbility to build, develop, and lead teamsOther duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
A Master's Degree from an accredited institution and 8 years of relevant experience
