Harmonia is currently looking for smart and self-motivated Proposal Copy Editor with the ability to take on and overcome challenges in a dynamic and collaborative team environment.
Accuracy of spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax and contextAccuracy of references, web addresses, phone numbers and other dataCompliance with proposal guidelinesCorrect usage, representation and presentation of company information and logosConsistency and accuracy of layout components (spacing, capitalization, etc.)Overall continuity, consistency, clarity and presentationProofread design and copy writing projects in a variety of print and digital mediumsAdhere to proposal departmental standard operating procedures and workflowsEnsure all compliance annotations are correctly interpreted and addressedProvide proofreading sign-off on proposals at final release to ensure accuracyMaintain strict adherence to deadlinesCreate and update proofreading best practices and consultation guidesWork with Proposal Team and Technical team to resolve issues, negotiate revisions and verify information whenever necessaryCommunicate clearly and promptly with Proposal DirectorClosely collaborate with designersPerform other duties as assigned by Proposal DirectorTake responsibility to learn about company's business and products to effectively accomplish role

Requirements

Proofreader Requirements
Ability to accurately review complex materials, including all graphics, texts, multimedia, websites and charts with exceptional attention to detailProficiency in AP and/or Chicago Manual of Style and standard proofreading marksExcellent project management skillsHighly organized with the ability to coordinate multiple projects and deadlinesAbility to operate effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, with the ability to prioritize tasks according to clients' needsExcellent eye for design and style consistencyStrong written communication skillsTeam player with excellent relationship-building skillsProficient expertise in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe AcrobatStrong written communication skills required
