Job Description:

Position Summary:

We are seeking to hire a Splunk Log Management Analyst to support our government client in Huntsville, AL.

Essential Job Functions:
Analyze Splunk logs including Splunk Enterprise Security and patching across 8000+ workstations.Data visualization to provide log data analytics.Optimize, develop, and implement best practice to analyze and visualize the log data.Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Update documentation related to the Splunk, as neededWork with the Splunk Team to enforce existing Splunk standards across multiple environments & implementations and review automation.Deliver minor enhancements to the solution as defined, and maintain the solution by keeping it secure, patched, and version maintenance.Implement and update operational processes as defined for daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.Assist with remediation, based on the Splunk Log Analysis.Work in collaboration with the LAN/WAN and Security Admin teams.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
Due to customer requirements, US citizenship is required.Must have an active DoD Secret clearance.Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience.1-2 years of Splunk log analysis and management experience.1-2 years of Splunk Log Analysis/Management and remediation strategies.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Understanding of Splunk event management tool expertise.Experience presenting Splunk solution demonstrations and deployment methodologies.Strong collaborative, communication, writing, and leadership skills.
Preferred Skills:
Existing DoD Secret Clearance is a big plus!Working with remediation teams is a big plus!Bachelor's degree.
