Job Description:
SUMMARY The Systems Engineer will provide support in three broad functional areas. These include Systems Engineering, Accreditation Support and Logistics/Supply Support. The position is not covered under the Service Contract Act (SCA) Davis Bacon Act (DBA), or union.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Systems Engineering Support
Systems engineering analysis and document the analysis results to determine the appropriate equipment and programs required to establish and sustain capabilities needed to accomplish laboratory missions; including tactical, commercial, simulation, network and facility support. Developmental engineering and technical support required to build and upgrade government experimental designs. Accreditation Support
IA functions and cybersecurity as it pertains to NetOps. Development and execution of accreditation plans for CIDS products. This may include providing Information Assurance Officer (IAO) services and applying tactical computer program software installations, patches and updates. Development of technical presentations and briefings and present materials. Support development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for CIDS lab and facility. Logistic/Supply Support
Provide market research and logistics support in the areas of requisitions, inventory control, and associated database management. Maintain inventories for equipment, parts, supplies, hardware items; track hardware problems assist the government with product market research and compiling purchase list(s) for CIDS laboratory requirements for government approval. Maintain highly accurate and auditable inventories of laboratory assets, including plant property.
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May require occasional travel. Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent. The Systems Engineer (SE) shall have six (6) years of experience in facility and computer system design, network design, and engineering of tactical weapon systems components. Must have or be able to attain a Secret DOD security clearance. Experience with AutoCAD or Visio. Candidates must satisfy both preparatory and sustaining DoD IA training, certification, and clearance requirements.

Additional Qualifying Factors:
As a condition of employment, must pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results. May be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Must have or be eligible for security clearances. May require occasional travel.
