Career Opportunity
We are currently seeking candidates for an Operations Analyst position located in our Norfolk, Virginia station, which provides support for our United States Fleet Forces (USFF) program. This position will support OPLAN, CONPLAN, Supporting Plan and Defense Support to Civilian Authorities (DSCA) staffing and development efforts for USFF, NAVNORTH, CTF-80, and JFMCC North. The candidate will also facilitate the Commander's contribution to Higher Headquarters (HHQ) long-range plans such as Campaign Plans, Concept Plans (CONPLANS), Operations Orders (OPORDs) and Execute Orders (EXORDS). The candidate will attend meetings/conferences as directed and complete work assigned by the Command Tasker System (CTS). They will prepare Flag-level staff products such as PowerPoint briefings and staff info papers and execute command battle rhythm events.
Responsibilities
Preparing and coordinating required plans in support of the Commander. Conducting operation planning within the framework of the Commander's assigned objective or mission, forces available, and the Commander's intent; Coordinating planning efforts with higher, lower, adjacent, and multinational headquarters, and coalition partners as required; Support pre-event preparation and post event response efforts for USFF support to DSCA and Foreign Disaster Relief (FDR) missions. Producing the Commander's estimate of supportability and the maritime support plan; Advising whether the superior's campaign plans are correct with regard to the Commander's capabilities, command relationships, and operational environment; Identifying operational scenarios requiring branch or sequel plans and assist the FOPS cell in crisis action planning, if required; Support Operational Planning Teams (OPTs) as required to conduct planning. Participate at meetings, conferences, VTCs, battle rhythm events, war games, concept development and experimentation (CD&E) events, etc. as a N3 MOC Action Officer level representative. Generate or lead other in the generation of staff products such as information or point papers, Navy messages, draft orders and slide presentation suitable for presentation or review at Flag/SES level. Contribute to a wide variety of technical, operational and organizational issues affecting Navy service support to USNORTHCOM, USELEMNORAD, USSTRATCOM, SECNAV, OPNAV and subordinate commands for the Commander.
Qualifications
Secret clearance BA or BS degree required Joint Advanced Warfighting School (JAWS) or Maritime Advanced Warfighting School (MAWS) graduate. Experience serving in a J5, N5 or similar contingency planning position on a CCDR, Service Component or Service staff may be substituted for the school requirement. Relevant experience serving on a CCDR, Service Component or Service staff. Knowledge and experience with Joint and/or Navy planning processes for Operational Plans and/or DSCA support. Knowledge of and familiarity with proper employment of Navy Service capabilities at the operational level of war. Knowledge and familiarity with Navy and Joint command and control policy and relationships. Knowledge and familiarity with operational level of war battle staff organization and processes; specifically the Maritime Operations Center (MOC) and/or Joint Operations Center (JOC).T-Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
