Job Description:

JMA Solutions has a full-time opportunity available for an experienced Senior Public Affairs Analyst providing support to the Chief of Staff for the Office of Commercial Space Transportation (AST). The Senior Public Affairs Analyst must provide Programmatic Management and Administration support as required, assist with running the administrative and executive support function, track deliverables, assist in travel arrangements for the Associate Administrator and Deputy Associate Administrator, and provide assistance in writing speeches and developing presentations for AST executives. This position is located in Washington, DC.  
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Research and write/create new presentations, speeches and communication pieces that address complex and high-profile issues Advise and consult with the customer on messaging and communications strategies Produce clear communications through a wide range of styles and formats, including formal speeches, PowerPoint presentations, blogs, videos, letters, articles, op-ed and bylined pieces, and social media channels. Perform research of PA concepts and plans and conducts analysis of factual data and prepares reports, briefs, and documents in support of event scenario development, higher and adjacent headquarters functions, and storyline/major scenario event list (MSEL) events. Manage special projects Track and monitor real-time media articles, queries, and preparing responses. Attend conferences and meetings at both the resident site and other locations off-site Assist in travel arrangements for the Associate Administrator and Deputy Associate Administrator

Job Requirements
Ability to interact well with senior leaders and representatives from other agencies Ability to communicate to different audiences using multiple applications. Expert in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel in order to develop visual representations of complex/technical concepts. Skill in developing written and oral communications materials that convey information concerning a wide range of technical and complex information Experience with providing inventive solutions to communication challenges Proficient with social media and ability to develop and carry out social media communication strategies. Ability to write and create speeches and presentations quickly and meet deadlines. FAA experience is a major plus  
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in a related field with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
SECURITY CLEARANCE: The ability to successfully obtain and maintain a U.S. Suitability/Public Trust Background Clearance
SALARY:  Negotiable depending on experience and education level.  JMA offers a full benefits package including vision, health, dental and life insurance, as well as a 401k match.
