Overview

IPKeys Technologies is seeking an Information Security Systems Engineer (ISSE) to provide support on our Cybersecurity team on a Defense/DoD program located in Centreville, VA. The team member will work directly with cybersecurity system matter experts, developers, and product team managers to maintain and harden development, test, and pre-production systems (operating systems, hardware, application software).

Responsibilities
Access cyber security compliance and remediate findings through implementation of hardening and STIG requirements. Assess, validate, and implement technical solutions to obtain and maintain compliance against technical security control baselines. Perform vulnerability/risk analysis of systems during all phases of the System Development Life Cycle Develop processes, procedures, and automation for repeatable verification processes Monitor, track, and address Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs) Assist the cybersecurity and development teams to design, integrate, and implement compliance monitoring tools (e.g. ACAS and Microfocus Fortify) and processes Work with system engineers and technical teams to provide security requirements for new capabilities being developed Support integration of COTS & GOTS products to collect, display and remediate a variety of automated system security and system operations / performance functions and metrics Perform security assessments of network devices, security appliances, servers, virtualization hypervisors, workstations, and custom developed software Participate in development team Sprint planning, execution, and retrospectives achieving cybersecurity objectives while minimizing impact to functional development.

Qualifications
Experience performing system administration activities for Linux operating systems (preferably RedHat and/or CentOS) Experience hardening Linux and applications through completing STIG checklists Experience with virtualization, preferable VMware ESXi and vSphere, Kubernetes/Docker Experience working with the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and common development team management approaches Experience with the use of vulnerability scanning and assessment tools necessary to identify and document compliance Knowledge of and ability to use applicable compliance and authorization reporting environments to document the progress of A&A Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong verbal and written communications and interpersonal skill

Experience
3+ years' experience in the field or related area Must have experience with Linux, Virtualization, and hardening applications (COTS, GOTS, and custom)

Education
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IS or relatedRequired Certifications

DoD 8570.1-M Compliance at IAT Level II

Security
Qualified candidates must have or capable of achieving a Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility
