Job Description:
Indonesian Senior Linguist/Malay, working with a diverse team of analysts, linguists, cultural experts, and operations officers, focused on creating and recognizing targeting opportunities and strategies in the multiple-realms.
Job Responsibilities:
· Responsible for Indonesian language and cultural expertise, assisting intelligence and analysis operations in a virtual environment; primarily using mix of Indonesian/English in-language reading and writing skills.
· Conducts Social Media and Open Source Research.
· Identifies and Reports Potential Targets and Trends through Traffic Analysis.
· Produces incident, threat, and information reports.
· Translates, conducts a quality review, and updates all documents and products from Indonesian to English and English to Indonesian.
· Works in a team of various government, subcontractor, and Longeviti personnel.
Qualifications
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
· Bachelor's Degree in International Studies, or a related field with 5 plus years’ experience (in-field experience may be substituted).
· Minimum DLPT 3/3/2/2 or Equivalent (ILS, ILR, ALTA) in Indonesian (expert, near native in reading and writing).
· At least 3-5 years of experience within the military intelligence community.
· Understand essentials of all speech, even technical; grasps opinion and inference; reads a variety of prose on unfamiliar subjects that may include opinions and hypothesis; participates effectively in most formal and informal discourse on practical, social, and professional topics within a shared context
Required Skills:
· Preparing Information Reports with excellent writing and briefing skills (in English).
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
Required Clearances:
· Active Top Secret Clearance with ability of obtain SCI (PR within 5 years).
Desired Qualifications:
· Former Military linguistic experience (35P, 09L, 1N3, 2671, 2712, 2799, or equivalent).
· Working knowledge of popular, legacy, and new social media, blog sites, and mobile applications.
