We have a great opportunity for an experienced well-rounded Calibration Technician to join our team in the Manassas, Virginia location.

In this role you will:

* Perform calibrations on high level and unique test and measurement instrumentation in the calibration laboratory, and where necessary, at customer’s locations (on-site)

* Use your troubleshooting, repair, and calibration knowledge to work on unique equipment

* Interact directly with customer to determine needs relating to traceability, adequacy of standards and test procedures utilized by Trescal, Inc., as well as, for items requiring repair or limited calibration

* Assist Quality Assurance in developing uncertainty budgets

* Manage work load distribution for the technicians within his/her sphere of influence when the Laboratory manager is not available



QUALIFICATIONS

As a Calibration Technician you must possess:

*Military (PMEL or TMDE) OR a technical associates degree OR equivalent work experience.

*Minimum of 4 years of commercial or military laboratory experience.

*Experienced in calibrating several disciplines of test and measurement equipment such as Electronics, RF Microwave and Physical Dimensional.

*Working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 requirements

*Experience in communication with customer and peers, including ability to mentor or train.



And we would prefer:

*Knowledge of ANSI / NCSL Z-540 and ISO 9000

*Experience using calibration software such as Met/Cal, SureCal, etc.
