BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for a SharePoint Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include translation of application requirements to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. You will work with the application owner and contribute to both the design and technical implementation, taking an active role defining how the application looks as well as how it works. This role is primarily focused on delivering custom applications on SharePoint 2010 and 2016 platforms.
Clearance Level: Must be able to obtain a Department of Homeland Security clearance: DHS
 
Location : Daily work at DHS in Washington DC.
 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Provides access/permission levels for DHS personnel and external stakeholders Performs acquisition data integrity checks for quality assurance. Develops architecture of systems, applications, libraries, and lists Works with internal and/or external clients to ensure proper operation of IT systems Incorporates advanced SharePoint techniques and code to optimize reports and daily, monthly requests which improved productivity of acquisition lifecycle framework data Query information in the acquisition system to verify and support various requests and reporting requirements. Gathers requirements and creates systems architects in support of providing solutions that would streamline operations. Performs analysis of systems and reviews processes for improvement or new proposed systems Prepares stats reports and metrics for internal and external DHS stakeholders and U.S. Congress on behalf of PARM. Provide briefs on acquisition analysis, dashboards, statistics, and projections. - Add/manage features in SharePoint sites - Support and manage SharePoint Migration (2010 to 2016_ - Develop and manage workflows in SharePoint environment - Perform other duties as needed in PARM (i.e. Data Analysis) - Develop PowerPoint slides for leadership briefing - Customized Web parts/pages for SharePoint environment - Use SharePoint Designer to configure permissions and workflows - QA Analysis and Testing - Attend daily sprint meetings, backlog grooming, and retrospective meetings - Customized InfoPath forms for SharePoint - Automat processes and reports - Analyze reports - Grant users access/permission to SP sites - Use out of the box sources (ex. Hillbilly tabs) - Push data to SharePoint lists for reporting - Analyze and troubleshoot issues  
 
Education and Experience:
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar degree and the following experience (without the degree, an additional 4 yrs of relevant experience):
Minimum of 5 full-time years of work experience in a SharePoint 2010/2016 developer role. Ideal candidates will have front-end developer experience as well.
Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3 Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery, and React Front-end development (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) Proficient in JSON and XML syntax SharePoint web APIS (REST/SOAP/JSOM) Analyze and resolve current production application issues Good understanding of build tools such as webpack Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on a images . Familiarity with design tools a bonus. Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them, including polyfills and transpiling . Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as git and github .
