Sev1Tech is seeking to hire an Army Business Developer. This position will provide focus and drives business development and capture actions in the execution of all support services for the United States Army's Aberdeen Proving Ground C4ISR customer environment, using our IDIQ contract vehicles (including but not limited to Army's RS3, ACCENT BPA as well as GSA IT 70 and OASIS). This role simultaneously oversees all aspects of multiple near and long-term opportunity development and capture through Sev1Tech's growth processes. Serve as the Business Development Manager for Army - Aberdeen to develop client relationships within multiple Army customer organizations with attention to IT Modernization, Cloud and Cyber managed services opportunities while simultaneously acting as Sev1Tech's ambassador and single point of contact to those customer organizations.
Clearance and Citizenship Requirement: Must be able to provide proof of U. S. Citizenship and hold an active Secret security clearance.
Bachelor's degree in business or relevant field Minimum of 10 years of experience. Must have 7+ yrs. experience in Army C4ISR and IT federal sales with the last 3 yrs. in business development JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Army Business Development Manager- Aberdeen will be responsible for the following action items:
Work with Headquarters Growth/Proposal Team staff to identify and cultivate potential pipeline and organic growth as well as related opportunities pertaining to solicitations coming out of RS3, ACCENT, and GSA OASIS Pool 1 Become a subject matter expert on Sev1Tech contract vehicles to develop and execute strategic and tactical plans for the pursuit and development of key opportunities on RS3, ACCENT and other Sev1Tech contract vehicles. Develop a multi-million-dollar qualified pipeline of >$5 million annual recurring revenue. Accountable for achieving annual targets for identification and qualification of profitable pursuits. Conducting customer visits and performing research to understand current and emerging customer needs and requirements. Establish, build, and maintain customer relationships plus assess competitor capabilities generally aligned to specific customer requirements and emerging opportunities. Work with cross-functional and operational teams to balance resource priorities to ensure consistent progress through marketing solutions, teaming and pricing elements of the capture plan. Lead capture management and work with the Proposal Team in the development and evaluation of technical and management content and contractual compliance of proposals. Develop customer solutions and value propositions based on customer and stakeholder inputs. Provide management with information to identify critical areas of the opportunity's win strategy that minimize risks and maximize the probability of win. Participate in bid decisions, the development of cost strategies and phase reviews. Serve as the customer advocate during reviews to bring the voice of the customer into planning and strategy sessions. Organize and conduct customer liaison activities such as customer meetings, facility tours and product demonstrations. Obtain marketing intelligence and competitive data pertaining to potential targeted pursuits and develop marketing strategies for same. DESIRED SKILLS
Strong knowledge and experience of Army C4ISR and IT solutions with the ability to create customer access and drive business to the Sev1Tech contract vehicles as well as close deals. Proven success in BD sales to Army in the C4ISR, IT and Cloud markets Experience leading teams in pursuit of medium sized (>$5 million annual recurring revenue to $50 million over 5 yrs. deals) or larger proposal efforts Knowledge of CRM tools (such as Dynamics or Salesforce) to set up prospects and leads, quote specific Sev1tech products and follow up with any and all opportunities Demonstrated ability to work with Teaming Partners on large or complex Sev1Tech IT opportunities to evaluate prospect needs, produce and provide quotes and work with Teaming Partners on any communications with prospects. Demonstrated organized, structured thinking and writing abilities Robust communication skills, including facilitation and/or mediation experience Successful past performance in business development (e.g., developing customer relationships, account strategies, developing a qualified pipeline, building industry relationships, and leading capture & proposal activities) Experience leading customer engagement activities with Director and above representatives. Innovative and efficient problem-solving skills Ability to present in small and large groups, to include difficult messages Ability to work in a team environment and create positive working environments Ability to handle dynamic/complex work environments with diverse clients Experience working with and/or leading Government related projects with a strong understanding of Government procedures/culture Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT)
