POSITION SUMMARY:

Supports and maintains the Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Windows Server and other
applications in the CJOA-A by providing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, security, administration,
account management and resolution of software and hardware issues as well as develops new system designs.
There will be an estimated 300 virtual server instances that must be supported.

MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:

Shall conduct 24/7 active directory and exchange administration support.

Shall design, implement and maintain the computing infrastructure and management tools.

Shall provide technical assistance and consulting to customer organizations and users. Shall troubleshoot network performance issues and recommend appropriate action to military leadership. Shall develop policies and standards for allocation and use of computer equipment and resources. Shall valuate, propose, implement, and manage software and hardware solutions to ensure data integrity. Shall recommend, develop and implement system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system. Shall coordinate with organizations on design and operational impact assessments across the CJOA-A for all top down changes. Shall design, develop, engineer, implement, and maintain solutions for Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange requirements. Shall provide Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange related scripting services as needed. Shall provide technical engineering functions associated with Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange systems, applications, platforms, and various databases technical integration. Shall provide certification support and accreditation recommendations to the Authorizing Official. Shall provide support as the theatre escalation point for Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange issues in the enterprise, including troubleshooting related issues and use of the Remedy ticketing system to document and track trouble tickets. Shall provide Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange support at the CJOA-A level following theatre-approved doctrine and guidelines. Tasks shall include but are not limited to working with Group Policy Objects (GPOs), Domain Name System (DNS), Structured Query Language (SQL), SharePoint, Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Scripting, SCCM, System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) and VMWare ESXi.

Shall serve as the theatre escalation point for Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange issues in the enterprise, including troubleshooting related issues and use of the Remedy ticketing system to document and track trouble tickets. Shall resolve high-profile network performance issues within four (4) hours of outage notification or discovery. Ensure the configuration management process is implemented and maintained according to guidelines from the process owner. Keep appropriate databases updated to accurately reflect system baselines and perform audits on such database to ensure effectiveness of controls. Provide continuous coordination of progress on actions, tasking, and issues. Review and edit applicable technical documentation. Establish and maintain both new and existing schedules, respectively, and implement and improve the CM process, working methods and tools. Liaise with the customer to ensure requirements are met and ensure the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) integrity. Implement approved changes to CMDB structure including attributes and relationships. Plan a schedule of independent audits and perform audits on the CMDB, comparing its contents with the actual IT infrastructure. Produce and issue management reports from CMDB. Provide executive technical support to the Configuration Advisory Board (CAB), including scheduling meetings, developing agenda, assisting project managers who are on the agenda and assisting the CAB chair to run and facilitate the meetings. Provide engineering, administrative, consultation support on all SCCM matters to government.

MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:
Personal computer, scanner and other standard office equipment.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
1. Candidate must be able to lift, push and pull up to 40 lbs.
2. The work environment will be 95% indoor and 5% outdoor. The outdoor work
environment may exceed temperatures 100° F. Candidate must be able to physically withstand extreme heat.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidate shall maintain DoD 8570.01-M compliance for IAT Level III with a Computer Environment Certificate for Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA).

Candidate shall have at least 10 years of experience supporting and maintaining the Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Windows Server.
