Job Description
Eastern State Hospital, located in Williamsburg, Virginia, was founded in 1773, with a well-intentional emphasis on community focused mental health care. This state of the art campus, situated on 500 acres, consists of two patient care buildings with 300 patients, and a highly skilled staff of over 900. Eastern State Hospital is part of the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services ( DBHDS ) system, and is accredited by the Joint Commission.
Eastern State Hospital invites qualified applicants to apply for the exciting employment opportunity of Classification and Compensation Analyst Sr. This position will provide/perform a full range of Classification and Compensation activities; job analysis and position classification along with personnel audits and make appropriate documented recommendations; conduct salary parity studies as requested to support hospital efforts; conduct research/attend training and develop/provide training to all levels of staff on various HR programs/initiative to include compensation and classification; assist with competency development/assessment FLSA and training, Pay Action Worksheets ( PAW ) development, and other human resource/facility initiatives as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
• Knowledge of Classification and Compensation/Human Resources Management initiatives, job analysis, position audits, pay parity studies, human resources- related research, documentation and training.
• Possess the ability to communicate with diverse levels of employees verbally and in writing.
• Skilled in the development of human resources related training courses utilizing Microsoft PowerPoint and other technology resources.
• Ability to develop and maintain professional working relationships inside and outside of state government
• Considerable experience developing and writing clear and concise reports along with spreadsheet development and analysis.
• Extensive work experience in the classification and compensation process.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite to include Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with course work in Human Resources/Personnel Administration or related field is preferred. SHRM -CP, SHRM - SCP , CCP or related certification is preferred.
