Job Description:

JOB PURPOSE: This position is responsible for assisting with the management and monitoring of daily Treasury activities, reporting on the liquidity of corporate and property bank accounts, assisting in the development of bank relationships, and ensuring Treasury policies and procedures are consistently applied.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Includes the following but are not limited to the job specifications contained herein. Additional duties or job functions that can be performed safely may be required as deemed necessary by Harbor Group Management Company.

• Perform daily corporate cash management activities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with property personnel, corporate internal departments and banks.
• Provide customer service to research and resolve bank related items.
• Assist with processing documents to open and close bank accounts.
• Set-up login access for online banking for property personnel and respond to requests for password resets and changes needed for login access.
• Track and analyze bank account fees. Work with various banks on questions and adjustments to fees charged and make recommendations for fee savings.
• Provide support on all banking service projects such as treasury workstation, bank software or other treasury technologies; perform research as needed related to the evaluation of new banking products.
• Initiate and execute funds movement via wires, ACH and internal bank transfers upon receiving proper approvals.
• Provide notifications of completed activities to appropriate property accountant(s) for them to book to the ledger.
• Assist in tracking and maintaining letters of credit associated with the Company’s lines of credit; also assist in preparing daily borrowing or repayment notification to the bank; and preparing daily report summarizing previous & current day’s cash and investment activity.
• Provide analytical support for forecasting and cash flow projections.
• Serve as back-up for preparing and processing various deposits received from other internal departments.
• Assist with deposit adjustments, non-sufficient funds (NSF) notifications and merchant charge backs to ensure items are processed promptly.
• Perform annual cleanup of Treasury documents required under the Company’s document destruction and retention policies.
• Respond to internal and external audit requests for treasury related audit documentation.
• Supervise, mentor and develop Treasury Clerk as it relates to Treasury activities.
• Support other special projects related to Treasury.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field required, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in Corporate Finance; experience in Treasury operations a plus
• Solid knowledge of accounting/financial concepts and techniques
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Ability to work independently and determine and develop approaches to problems
• Strong analytical skills, with attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Organizational skills and ability to prioritize in order to meet tight deadlines and succeed in a dynamic environment
• Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), supervisory experience and experience with Treasury Workstations a plus

WORKING CONDITIONS: This position could include evening and weekend hours as needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervises the following positions:

Treasury Clerk

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
