A MECHANIC (Rail Cars) job in SAN FRANCISCO, CA is currently available through Belcan. In this role you will be responsible for the mechanical and electrical maintenance and repairs for multiple Rail-Cars. To be considered for this position you must be a US Citizen or Perm Resident; Have experience with mechanical, electrical, systems work, communication systems, and be able to pass Background Check, Drug Screen, and aptitude test. Seeking candidates with +5 years of Airplane, Aerospace, Heavy Equipment, Ship/Marine, or +10 years automotive experience.

Job Description:
• Inspect vehicles and related equipment to detect failed or improperly operating equipment. Perform electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems inspection following established procedures or other written or verbal instructions. Trouble-shoot complex systems and components to identify problems or failures
• Perform preventive & corrective maintenance and/or replace defective parts or equipment utilizing manuals, drawings, specs, and other written or verbal instructions

Qualifications:
- +5 years Experience with Mechanical and Electrical Repair
- +Aerospace/Airplane, Heavy Equipment, Ship/Marine or Automotive (rail exp is a plus)
- Exposure to high-voltage areas, elevated platforms, confined spaces, and inclement weather at the job site. Climbing, squatting, lifting (up to 50lbs), and bending may be required.
- Good Computer (MS Office) and Communications skills (Written and verbal)
- US Citizen or Perm Resident, and have valid Drivers License
- Able to pass 10 year Background Check, Drug Screen (random drug screen for position), and Aptitude Test
