A Tool Design Technical Lead job in Windsor, CT is currently available at Belcan. This job is a full-time direct position with benefits. To be considered for this role, you will need a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering with five to 10 years of experience. In this role you will lead a team of tool designers that develop tools for assembly, disassembly, machining, and component test.
Tool Design Technical Lead job duties:
• Ensure design meets functional requirements, cost targets, and delivery schedules
• Present and participate in design reviews
• Interface with multi-discipline team and customer to achieve project objectives
• Generate 3D CAD models of design concepts and be able to generate 2D drawings if required
• Execute tolerance studies to ensure proper fit and function
• Establish schedules, standard work, review processes and cost estimates for all designs
Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
• Five to 10 years of design experience
• Experience with using either Pro/E, CREO, NX or Solidworks
• Understanding of machining processes and machine shop practices.
• Due to the nature of our work US Citizenship is required
