Purpose of Position
The Department of Mathematics at Christopher Newport University invites applications for the position of Lecturer in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or Statistics, effective August, 2019. This position is a full-time, non-tenure-track appointment with a nominal teaching load of 4-4. Faculty members are expected to teach at all levels of the undergraduate curriculum, perform rank appropriate service, and maintain disciplinary expertise.
The Ph.D. in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Statistics, or a closely related field is required for appointment at the rank of Lecturer. Individuals who are ABD and will not hold the Ph.D. by the time of appointment and/or possess a master's degree in a related field may be considered for appointment at the rank of Instructor. Phi Beta Kappa membership is highly desirable

Departmental Information
The Department of Mathematics at Christopher Newport University is composed of seventeen full-time faculty, two part-time faculty, and approximately eighty majors. Our faculty are nationally known teacher-scholars devoted to teaching, mentoring and conducting important research. Faculty Information
