Seeking Emulation and Kernel Engineers for Raytheon Cyber Security Innovations (CSI) in Arlington, VA; Dulles, VA; or State College, PA.
Our engineers solve cutting-edge problems involving rarely studied system internals such as custom hypervisors, hardware emulation development, Windows and Linux kernel development, forensic and anti-forensic techniques, rootkit analysis, and anti-reverse engineering. Emulator development projects will be undertaken in small teams with hardware engineers and reverse engineers in close coordination with customers. All of our engineers write code, but many spend as much time taking systems apart as building new ones.

CSI research and development projects cover the spectrum of security technologies for Computer Network Operations; if it runs code somebody in our office has looked at it.
Required Skills: 2+ years professional development experience Experience reading, writing, and debugging assembly (e.g. x86, x64, ARM, PPC, MIPS, SPARC) Extensive experience with C/C++
Desired Skills: Experience with modern C++ development including RAII, C++11, and C++14 Experience developing hypervisors and virtualization utilities Deep OS internals understanding (any major OS) including driver design, kernel memory management, and security models Experience with automated testing and continuous integration tools/practices Experience developing for embedded systems Understanding of secure coding practices and code auditing Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP stacks, wire-level protocols, RF communications, routing protocols, others) Understanding of exploit mitigations such as DEP and ASLR
Security Clearance:
Qualified applicants may be subject to a security investigation and must meet minimum qualifications for access to classified information. U.S. Citizenship is required. Qualified applicants must meet the requirements to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI government security clearance.
