Lynch is actively seeking Junior Military Officers as candidates for professional opportunities to grow our firm serving Department of Defense (DoD) clients in the Washington D.C metro area, Southern GA, and Hawaii. We encourage officers with any Military Occupational Specialty (MOS)/background to pursue this job and career opportunity and Lynch Consultants will assist you in your transition to the consulting industry through peer to peer support from the numerous veterans and government civilian employees within the company.
Responsibilities:
Successful candidates will establish a vibrant partnership with our Defense Agency and Military Service clients to provide high-impact consulting in support of DoD activities, primarily in the Resource and Risk Advisory practices. You will work directly with our clients to perform analysis, provide guidance and recommendations, and directly assist the government to master high-visibility programs. You will collaborate with exceptionally sharp, motivated, colleagues and team partners to perform meaningful tasks.
Minimum Qualifications
• A minimum of 4-8 years of professional experience related to DoD
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
• Strong analytical skills, including: analyzing large data sets, trend analysis, identification and resolution of risks and issues, developing mitigation plans to address identified risks
• Experience working with and extracting large data sets
• Coordinate with clients to author, develop, staff, and revise user’s manuals and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), guidance and procedures
• Analyze data and transform information into presentable and actionable management
• Strong MS Office Suites experience, especially Excel, SharePoint
Desirable (not required) Skills and Experience
• Advanced degree, Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and or Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Experience with financial management, program management, or business process improvement
• Knowledge of military property accountability (Real Property)
• Direct experience with DoD financial systems and feeder systems, including SABRS, STARS, DON ERP, GFEBBS, DEAMS, DAI, and others
• Knowledge of command-level financial management activities, structures, and processes
