Job Description:

Sentara Healthcare is hiring an Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our Life Care team in Barco, NC!
Hours/Shift: Flexi/PRN
Department/Position Overview: Sentara Life Care opened SNC-Currituck in 1988. The facility offers all skilled care beds and nursing facility care.
This center is located on Route 168 in Currituck County, N.C., convenient to activities rich in culture and natural heritage.
Board-certified physicians available 24 hours a day 75 long term care beds, plus 25 skilled nursing beds offering more specialized, acute care and individual attention, and two private rooms Respite care services to provide a much-needed break for community caregivers On-site dining and meal preparation services, including weekly buffet meals and on-site dietitian Dedicated social workers, professional and experienced staff and specialty trained therapists provide special expertise, compassion and enthusiasm in older adult care Recognized by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living as one of the best providers of long-term care with a silver award . Current licensure in the state of Virginia or licensure eligible and current National Board Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (NBCOT) or certification eligible

Administer occupational therapy treatments and procedures under supervision of an Occupational therapist. May assist in the development of treatment plans, carry out routine functions, and document the progress of treatment within the scope of treatment plans established by an Occupational therapist. Provides age appropriate education for clients and caregivers. Supervise and assume responsibility for care provided by identified team members.
