Talent Acquisition Coordinator
Summary
PenFed is hiring a Talent Acquisition Coordinator at our headquarters in McLean, Virginia. The primary purpose of this job is to assist the Talent Acquisition team with the candidate recruitment and hiring process. This position will play a critical role in providing administrative and logistic support to facilitate a seamless candidate experience during recruiting, screening, and onboarding of new hires. This will include a broad set of responsibilities including sourcing and reviewing candidate resumes. This position will also focus on ensuring a great candidate experience at all touchpoints.
Essential Functions

Administrative duties to include, but not limited to sending applications, initiating, tracking and evaluating background screening reports, sending appropriate correspondence for screenings, and tracking new hires, and other onboarding activities.
Prepare and post job postings and manage applicant tracking within the Applicant Tracking and HRIS Systems.
Post job openings to a variety of external advertisement sites.
Provide support to recruiters by reviewing resumes, identifying qualified candidates, and conducting initial phone screens when necessary.
Schedule interviews for Hiring Managers/Recruiters and potential candidates including coordinating flight and travel arrangements.
Greet candidates for interviews and on boarding.
Manage the internal applicant process including applications and coordination of schedules.
Act as an administrator in the background check systems.
Work with new hires on their pre-onboarding paperwork/screening.
Attend job fairs.
Serve as a liaison between potential Candidates and Recruiters.
Build relationships with hiring managers.
Oversee the contractor hiring process through start date.
Special projects as assigned.
Education and Experience
Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.
Bachelor's Degree is required; major in Business, Human Resources or a related field is preferred.
Minimum of one (1) year of professional work experience is required.
Minimum of six (6) months of Talent Acquisition Coordinator experience is preferred.
Strong interest in the field of recruiting required and some recruiting-related experience is preferred.
Experience in HRIS or ATS systems is strongly preferred.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position will not supervise employees

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise
Travel
Occasional travel to various local events and offices.
